Shelly Nobile Becomes Director for Zone 4

I am pleased to announce that Shelly Nobile, past president for the Huntsville Hawks and Assistant Zone Director for 2012 is our new Zone Director.

Shelly brings with her a determination that I feel will help us continue to grow this game (in numbers and quality) in our region. And she will be a positive, persistent voice with the OLA, ensuring our concerns are heard.

I will continue to be active in the zone (as past director assisting Shelly) and especially in the development of our Interlock program.

Thank you for your patience and support during my 3 year stint. With your help we will continue to be the little zone that can.

Vic Emberson

North Bay Element

The newest centre in Zone 4 is The North Bay Element. The club is in the final stages of approval with the OLA. The Element will be running a local program in 2011 and hope to send out provincial teams in the near future.

Mark Cooper is one of the driving forces with the Element and is no stranger to lacrosse or zone 4. He learned the game in Orillia where he played his minor lacrosse and his parents were integral parts of that club and the zone.

For Zone 4 the North Bay club fills a difficult distance gap between Huntsville, Sudbury and Tri-Town.

Welcome Mark! We look forward to meeting you and your executive team.
